Meet The Staff

Over the past 10 years, we have developed a LASIK team that has become known for the quality care they deliver to LASIK and Laser Vision Correction patients. The LASIK team at The Eye Clinic of Texas has worked diligently to produce a solid program of patient-oriented care for each refractive patient.

		Mary Jane Caddell is a Co-Administrator of The Eye Clinic of Texas and is responsible for the management of The Ophthalmic Laser Center. She monitors the lasers and assists in performing procedures. Mary Jane began working at The Eye Clinic of Texas in 1987 and has many years of experience in the area of clinical activities and patient care. Questions about patient care and other clinic matters can be directed to Mary Jane.

		Michele Hay joined the staff at The Eye Clinic of Texas in 1999 and is currently a Co-Administrator and the Marketing Coordinator. Michele contributes greatly to the Refractive program and the overall marketing efforts of The Eye Clinic. Questions about LASIK and the refractive program may be directed to Michele.

		Amy Trittel joined The Eye Clinic of Texas staff in 2007. She is the primary consultant in educating LASIK patients. Amy also counsels patients for ReSTOR and cataract procedures. Questions about appointments, procedure process and financing can be directed to Amy.

		Sheila Erwin joined The Eye Clinic of Texas staff in 2004. She is the surgical coordinator for Cataract and ReStor procedures. All questions about cataract surgery can be directed to Sheila.

		Nora Bessire supervises our League City and Texas City offices for The Eye Clinic of Texas. She has been with The Eye Clinic of Texas since 1978 and has played a key role in the growth of the LASIK program. Questions about appointments, billing, insurance and clinic operations can be directed to Nora.

		Barbara Lund joined The Eye Clinic of Texas staff in 1991 and has over 25 years experience in Ophthalmology. She was involved as an ophthalmic technician in the initial FDA trials for Laser Vision Correction in 1991 and has been an integral part of the LASIK team for the past 19 years.

		Amanda Alaniz joined The Eye Clinic of Texas staff in 2005. She is an ophthalmic technician and performs pre-operative testing for both LASIK and Cataract surgeries. Amanda also assists our physicians in surgery during LASIK and Cataract procedures.

		These team leaders, and all of our Eye Clinic staff members, are capable of answering your questions about Laser Vision Correction and all other aspects of our ophthalmic services. If they cannot answer your question knowledgeably, they will find someone in the clinic that can.
