Da-Thuy Van, D.O., Joins The Eye Clinic Of Texas
The Eye Clinic of Texas adds to its list of experienced surgeons

League City, Texas - The Eye Clinic of Texas today announced that its newest board-certified ophthalmologist, Da-Thuy Van, D.O., starts seeing patients May 19, 2006. She joins the clinic’s team of internationally recognized physicians – founder Bernard A. Milstein, M.D.; Allan H. Fradkin, M.D.; Robert B. Wilkins, M.D., F.A.C.S.; and Austin W. Chang, M.D.

Van, who speaks fluent Vietnamese, comes to The Eye Clinic of Texas from Stephenville Medical and Surgical Clinic in Stephenville, Texas, where she performed small-incision cataract extraction, refractive surgery, trabeculectomy, blepharoplasty and many other procedures. She also provided pediatric eye care.

Van earned her doctor of osteopathy degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, in June 1997. She was president of the school’s Sigma Sigma Phi National Honor Society chapter from 1994 to 1995.

She went on to complete her internship in internal medicine at Meridia South Pointe Hospital in Cleveland in June 1998. In June 2001, Van completed her residency in ophthalmology at Doctors Hospital in affiliation with Ohio State University in Columbus, serving as chief resident during her last year.

Active in her field, she is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology.
