Kai Chu, M.D. is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, Glaucoma Specialist & Cataract Surgeon at The Eye Clinic of Texas. Dr. Chu graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies. She then attended Baylor College of Medicine where she earned her Medical Degree. Dr. Chu completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch and her Fellowship in Glaucoma at Columbia University Harkness Eye Institute in New York. At The Eye Clinic of Texas, Dr. Chu sees patients in need of cataract surgery, as well as diagnosis and medical, surgical and laser treatment of glaucoma.
In addition to her clinical expertise and experience, Dr. Chu has presented her research at various national ophthalmology meetings and has published several articles in medical journals including the American Journal of Ophthalmology. She is also a member of several professional organizations, such as the American Glaucoma Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Ophthalmologic Association, and the Harris County Medical Society. Dr. Chu is fluent in Mandarin.
