Bernard Milstein, M.D. is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, who has specialized in Cataract and Refractive surgery at The Eye Clinic of Texas. He recently limited his practice to LASIK patients. Dr. Milstein is nationally recognized as a leader in Laser Eye Surgery for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.

Dr. Milstein participated in the initial FDA studies to determine the safety and effectiveness of the excimer laser, the laser that is used today to correct refractive errors in the cornea. These trials proved the safety of the excimer laser for the treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Because of his involvement and contributions to the study of the excimer laser, Dr. Milstein was one of the first 16 eye surgeons in the United States to perform Laser Eye Surgery for vision correction using an FDA monitored and approved laser. He has more than 25 years of experience using the excimer laser for vision correction and has performed approximately 20,000 LASIK procedures.
